PX-251 CONTROL PROCESSOR
PX-251 CONTROL PROCESSOR
Our take on the discontinued Moogerfooger CP-251 CONTROL PROCESSOR,
which is known for its use on the Red Hot Chili Peppers song Dani California.
Omitting the mixer and Four-way Multiple sections.
we have managed to squeeze the circuit into an extremely compact size.
Features:
- Footswitchable (able to stop the control signal output handsfree)
- 2 outputs (A & B)
- Phase pushbutton - Output A only (Press in to match the phase of Output B)
- 4 - Way Waveform selector switch - select between the following
- Triangle, Square, External LFO & Noise
- LFO Rate and visual red lfo led
- Attenuator (Depth)
- EXP jack and Pushbutton - using an EP-3 Expression jack with TRS cable the LFO rate cn be adjusted, pressing in EXP button will allow the Attenuator to be controlled. (Operation may be affected by the Phase button when using Output A)
- LAG Processor - Two controls become activated when the Lag button is pressed, Rise and Fall. The RISE knob varies the rate at which the rising part of a waveform is slowed down, while the FALL knob varies the rate at which the descending part of a waveform is slowed down.
- S & H - (Sample and Hold) White pushbutton only activated
- Smooth - Is the second output of the original S & H which is a smoothed subtler version of the stepwise output.(Both white pushbuttons must be pressed for Smooth S & H )
- Noise - Random White Noise source
- Like the original, in order to obtain the bipolar voltages, a voltage converter circuit is used. In some circumstances noise issue may occur if being used with poor quality power supplies and other pedals with similar power sections. This is not a fault with the pedal. With high quality powering, rare issues can generally be avoided!
- DO NOT USE CHEAP SWITCHMODE POWER SUPPLIES LIKE ONESPOTS ETC!!!
- +9VDC supply. Boss Style 2.1mm Negative Tip! No longer need a special positive ground powering plug like the original!
- Compact size -
- Dimensions: 112 x 60 x 31mm / 4.4" x 2.36" x 1.22" (enclosure only)
- Current draw: TBA mA
